The club recently held the first draw of the new 100 Club. Congratualtions to the following on their winnings;

Skill Level Assessment Dates for 2009

The following dates are those currently known for skill level assessments due to take place in the 2009 calendar year.

February 22nd - Marlborough, South West Region (However the club is not looking to attend this assessment as it is too close to the start of the development/competitive year and it is thought that there is not enough time between the club display and the first assessment.
March 8th - Portsmouth, HMS Temeraire, South East Region
May - date and venue TBD
September 13th - Portsmouth, HMS Temeraire, South East Region

Multi-Regionals 2008

Swimmer of the Month - October 2008

Coaching News

There is a Synchro Level 1 Unit 2 course available soon in the New Year, but to do this you will require to have taken the Unit 1 part. Please see the Coaching section for further details. A Basic Assessors re-take course has been advertised on the British Swimming website, but this is unfortunately not nearby. Please see the British Swimming website for more details.

GB Squad Training

The GB team had taken a well earned break but are now back in full time training for their first team event since being centralised in September 2007. This will be in the Synchro World Cup competition taking place in Madrid, Spain on the weekend of the 6th/7th December 2008.

GB Junior News

The selection process has just been announced for the GB Junior team for 2009. Please click on GB Junior to read the details.

Congratulations to Vicky Lucass and Cherry Wilson on becoming GB Senior Squad members after the recent trials.

Stamina Training

The club has been offered by Rushmoor Royals for some swimmers to join their Masters training sessions on a Tuesday night after club training. This runs from 9.00 - 10.00pm. They do have some pre-requisites for anyone wishing to take part and they are that you attend on a regular basis (so that they know numbers and who is turning up), are at a standard that can swim with there fastest Masters and that there will be a fee of £3 per session payable on the night. If anyone is interested then please let Simon know.

Garrison News

If anyone in the 15/16/17 competitive or British Champs teams would like to join in with the stamina training undertaken by British Synchro, then they are able to go along on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 - 9.30am. If you are interested then either get in contact with Adele Carlsen, or speak to Simon. However please note that you have to be able to repeat 100m Freestyle on about 1 minute 25 seconds or less.
