Volunteering

Your Club Needs You!

Could we tempt you to volunteer at Rushmoor Artistic Swimming Club?

Why Volunteer?

The help we get from volunteers is imperative to making our club the best place to enjoy artistic swimming.  Rushmoor is more than just what happens in the pool. Swimmers and coaches are vitally important but so too are the many volunteers who work hard to help our club function and flourish,

Whether you are the parent of a current swimmer or someone who has hung up their nose clip, you could be a volunteer. Imagine if everyone of our 54 members did a little bit towards the running of the club what an even better place it could be?!

Rushmoor is a rewarding place to be for people with all kinds of skills. There are opportunities to get involved for people of all ages, including:

  • Learning and developing new skills

  • Enhancing work experience and building a CV

  • Meeting new people and broadening your social network

  • Giving something back to the sport you love

  • Making a difference in the community

  • Having fun!

What sort of skills and attributes are needed?

Enthusiasm is the key. As long as you have that, you are welcome you with open arms. Whether you can support the club at competitions, help raise vital funds, or help to promote the club, we will be lucky to have your help.

What sort of volunteering opportunities are available?

There are a whole host of specific roles at the club below are just a few of them:

  • Poolside helper

  • Fundraising team

  • Publicity team

  • Team Manager

  • Judges

  • Competition help

What time commitment is involved?

Volunteering can take up as much or as little of your time as you want, but it is useful to agree some informal terms of reference with the club to ensure you are used effectively.
