Gold for Rushmoor at NAGs

Our Under 12 gold medal winners

Athletes from Rushmoor Artistic Swimming Club took part in the National Age Group Championships (NAGS) at the Aquatic Centre in London at the end of March. It was a very successful weekend, with a number of our swimmers winning medals, and the Under 12 team becoming National Champions!

Rushmoor won the Richard Whitehead Trophy after they finished in first place in the 12 & Under Free Team event, edging out the City of Leeds team by just over two points to finish on 148.9418. The team was Belle Goss, Hannah Goldsworth, Katie Bastajian, Lily Madgwick, Madeleine Swandell, Maya Rejniak, Sarah Meszaros, Sophia Bastajian, Eleanor Howell and Imogen Williams. In addition, the same team won silver in the Under 12 Combo event.

There were more medals for Rushmoor as Madeleine Swandell won bronze in the 12 & Under Free Solo and silver together with Lily Madgwick  in the 12 & Under Duet.

After a tough qualifying for the 15 & Under Free Solo competition, Renee Coleman came an impressive 10th place. 

The Club is extremely proud of all our swimmers who competed over the weekend, and the results from every single one of them demonstrates their hard work and commitment.
