Rushmoor appoints a new Head Coach

Rushmoor Artistic Swimming Club are incredibly pleased to announce we have appointed Carolyn MacDonald as our new head coach. Carolyn has been a member of Rushmoor since 1973, becoming a Life member in 1981 after winning the first of her 3 European titles. She has represented Rushmoor and Great Britain at various European and World Championships, as well as the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1984. After hanging up her goggles she started coaching, working in France and then Britain, taking teams to many Internationals including the Olympic Games.

As a choreographer for Rushmoor, Carolyn has coached teams who have gone on to win medals at county, district and national level, developing routines that were renowned for their creativity and precision, an aim that we continue to strive towards today.

Not all will become champions but every single swimmer should be able to achieve their potential and the skills they will learn such as perseverance, resilience, effort and positive attitude will hold them in good stead in the future.”
